Library in Motion
Library in Motion Senior Delivery Service continues to be postponed due to COVID-19.
We will keep you updated as information from governmental and health authorities becomes available.
The Monroe County Library System is pleased to provide touch free curbside service at a branch that is convenient for you. If you are interested in this service please call 734-241-5770 and ask for Outreach Senior Services. We will place your request and send them to the branch. Patrons will be notified when their requested items are available for pick-up. When our service resumes we will be visiting the Dundee Senior Center the first Wednesday (of a full week) each month from 11:00am – Noon. Large print and regular print books as well as audio books are available to check out. We also have a great selection of DVD’s and music CD’s.

Meals on Wheels
You must be 60 years old or older, live in Dundee, Ida, or Petersburg area and be a Monroe County resident. We don’t have a waiting list, so you can typically start delivery the next day. We serve one homemade meal a day (which may be hot or cold) Monday through Friday. You must take meals minimally 3 days a week, and they must be the same 3 days each week. $3 suggested donation per meal. We offer weekend meals that are fully cooked, and just need to be heated. We also offer a loaf of white or wheat bread every other week and a half gallon of 2% milk once a week. You need to be home to receive your meal. Contact the Center if you are interested in receiving meals.
We also need volunteers to deliver meals. You can do it regularly or on an as needed basis. Contact Terry with any questions.
Senior Legal Services
Senior Legal comes to the Senior Center the 2nd Friday of every month (if an appointment has been made). Call 734-241-7644 to schedule your appointment at the Center.
Medical Specialist Visits
Foot Doctor– Every 9-11 weeks the foot doctor comes to the Senior Center to cut toenails (you can ask if they are able to do other procedures at the Center). Call 734-241-0200 to make your appointment.
BP/ Blood Sugar Checks– Typically once a month (usually a Wednesday) from 11-noon you can get your blood pressure and/ or blood sugar tested.
Flu Shot Clinic– The Monroe County Health Department typically tries to schedule a flu clinic at the Senior Center once a year. When possible it coincides with our Health Fair held in early October.
Health Fair– We host a health fair in early October each year bringing in many different medical professionals. In the past we have had Flu and Pneumonia shots, 5 minute chair massages, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, and informational booths such as Monroe County Ambulance, Hospice, Bedford Health Van and other local medically related booths.
Health Van– The Health Van is available to all Monroe County residents going to any medical/non medical appointment. All vans are wheelchair accessible. Vans can also be requested to social functions upon driver availability. 72 hour advance notices are required. Call for fee schedule. 734-850-6099
Hall Rental
The Dundee Area Senior Center has room to accommodate 175 people but we only have seating for 130. The Center is a smoke and alcohol free facility. Kitchen use is limited to Microwave and designated coffee pot. The remaining kitchen equipment is NOT for use by the renter (including, utensils, ice, fridge/ freezers, non designated coffee pots, stove, etc).
